A film review: A truly Hollywood masterpiece - LA LA LAND

   The project was really cool as it made us gain a new identity by creating the opportunity of expressing ourselves in a different area. Working with a partner on a wiki page turned out to be effective for us because we found out that we watched the film from different point of views and sharing those details made us realise important things about the film. Also, we criticised each other objectively and this made our wiki as substantial as possible before we completed it. If you have different interests when creating a wiki, it might be a little harder.

 
   We la la loved this film even to the point where soundtracks were playing in the background while we were writing the review :)

A story for Young Learners: What a surprise!

For this project firstly, me and my friend tried to write an interesting story for young learners so that they can learn and have fun at the same time. We used some of the words that were required such as; guitar, fortuneteller, beach, mirror and letter. Then after many attempts, we recorded our voices from our phone successfully and we uploaded the sound clip on our computer in order to add the sound effects. We chose the best sounds that would fit into our story from Youtube and Freesound. We used MixPad, a studio-quality music mixing app, to put the final touches to our project. When everything was ready, all we needed was a podcasting site. I used PodOmatic for this purpose and embeded the record. Finally, it was ready to share. Though it was a bit challenging but we were entertained especially when recording our voices over and over again :) We helped each other by finding quick solutions when we encountered a problem. It turned out to be pretty effective. Hope you all enjoy it!

A Life-long Learning Route: 21st Century Learning

What 21st century learning is, i believe, an open-ended question in itself. As we all know, with today's technology we can almost do anything, anytime. If this is an undeniable fact, why don't we take advantage of it? At this point technology plays a big role. It helps all the global citizens to unite in a big circle and those people who make the chains of this circle benefit from it individually. Every humanbeing goes through new things and takes lesson from it. Basically, sharing experiences and forming this bond thanks to technology will probably touch someone's life and it will not only give that person to look further but also impact that person's everday life positively.

The fact that learning is a non-stop experience is what makes 21st century learning so crucial for us. The reason behind this is because 21st century learning adds a whole new dimension to our lives. We can fulfill ourselves. We can be aware of what's going on and how it will affect us. We can be aware of our community. We can broaden our imagination and with the needed energy and passion we can accomplish our goals. There are influential actions that a learner who is involved in this learning takes:

• Communication
• Creativity
• Collaboration
• Critical thinking

As we can clearly see we are in the center of this process. All the innovations are for our own good. The information is out there, making effort and reaching it is important. Actually, with all mass media and developing technology, this is what this era wants from us. 21st century learning is an open door, why don't you walk through it?
